Constructed by Raja Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by Sawai Jai Singh I, the Amer fort is a beautiful fusion of art and architecture. While the interior walls depict expressive painting scenes with carvings, precious stones and mirror settings, the breathtaking Maota Lake in the foreground adorns the grand structure. The mirror image of the Fort, on the still waters of the lake, seem to be a beautiful illusion enhancing the gorgeous structure built in white marble and red sandstone.
