India celebrates many festivals in a year. Some of the major festivals celebrated in India are Diwali, Holi, Christmas, Eid & Dussehra. Majority of the festivals, especially, Hindu & Islamic festivals that are celebrated in India are based on the regional calendar which is why they are celebrated on different dates every year. Hence, it is of utmost importance to make sure to check the dates of the festival before you book your festive tour package. The festive period is considered as the super peak season in India and the prices double up due to the limited availability and increase in the airfare and hotel tariffs. Hence, if you wish to come to India to witness the festivals, then you must pre-plan your travel at-least eight to ten months in advance. Planning in advance will enable you to get the best deals on your tour package.
